Video Game Industry Now Hiring, Should You Apply?

Mighty BOB!

Lol, what a bunch of lies.  Well, half truths maybe.  Introductory salaries in game development are $30,000-$45,000.  You don't get $80k+ until you have years of experience and shipped titles under your belt, and even then that still depends on what you do (programmers earn more than artists).

Question is, can you handle the severe scheduling of the video game industry?

Yeah, there was a documentary during the PS2-era, and Gran Turismo developers in Japan were working an average of 12-16 hour days. It was actually common for people to just sleep in the office under their desk (with curtains installed below the desk), and then just wake up in the morning to do more work.

I hear that Infinity Ward is hiring...
