You can't really increase the base clock on a Sandy Bridge system...you might get 4-5MHz if you're lucky (since all the system clocks are derived from the base clock, you're also overclocking SATA, PCI-E, etc.). Turbo overclocking is the only thing you can do, assuming of course you have a P67 motherboard. This is actually nice since the processor ramps up Turbo Boost quickly, and can then fall back to very low clock speeds when the system is idling.

honestly I would have no problem buying sandy bridge. I would jsut not use the bad ports.  I can also picture Falcon Northwest adding a case window and making this silverstone case a fragbox 3.

Well that is interesting how they overclocked it... having 4.7 stock then ramping up to 5.2.  I was only aware that you could only change the turbo multiplier so it would be stock speed (3.4) at idle (or 1.6 with EIST) and then under load would go up to your turbo, which in this case is 5.2.
