Had a choice to go to any carrier I wanted even though I had deposit but I ended up with going with sprint best prices & best customer service, verizon may rule the air but they won't rule my wallet! Had verizon in the past... There phones are nothing but headaches and problems also there customer service is snobs NEVER AGAIN! Can you hear me now? :)

So where the fuck is Anonymous to "free the people" since people pay for a service that doesnt work? Oh wait Verizon isnt Sony my bad.

So let me get this straight, Amazon's cloud service goes down, the PSN was hacked, Xbox Live unbanned everyone for a few hours until Microsoft realized that people who were banned all of the sudden wern't and Verizon's LTE service goes down....all in such a short time....all the while a certain group threatens everyone who has ever bought a Sony product(amoung their many threats...like threatening to order like 200 pizza's..or call HIV clinics....hmmm somebody tried to order $80 worth of pizza with my credit card...but epic failed.. I had a PSN ID)...and this all is totally unrelated...

Sounds awefully fishy to me....but then again I have a XOOM and like Crysis 2 better than the first one so Im obviously a noob that doesnt know anything. Please disreguard. Keep drinking the kool-aid people, nothing to see here. Hey look over there! Apple has a shiny new toy for us to buy! Just forget about all of this....

Anonymous didn't DDoS Sony for this latest FUBAR. Don't try to take the blame off Sony. Even if Anonymous had a hand in it, *everybody* is at fault here.  Sony for business reasons, hackers for ethical reasons. There's no good guys in this story.  Everyone wants to hold Sony accountable for lack of security and lack of communication in such a time where customers needed to know their personal info and entire finances were vulnerable.  Network outages such as Verizon's yesterday aren't even in the same league as the Sony situation, it's apple-oranges.

And to top it off, I was in the midsts of the southern tornado disaster yesterday.  1x is not helpful when you need to stream news and weather info, and try to connect with others via social media to let them know you're ok, and to find out if others are ok.  Voice and text were spotty due to the weather itself, so it was crazy.

There's a way to turn the 3g back on for thunderbolt users.  I wasn't going to mess with it hoping that the eHRPD or even the LTE networks came back up.  Unfortunately they were still down this morning so i tried and confirmed that the info in the link below works.

Oh no's, I had to use 3G for a couple hours. I think the sky is falling down! I had to actually wait 5 more seconds when I was downloading youtubes vidoes when I was waiting at the doctor's office. Next thing I know I will actually have to pet my dog because my dog stroking machine might crap out.

Wrong.  LTE devices weren't able to use 4G AND 3G during the outage. 1x only.  Plus, LTE AirCArds and mobile hostpots were unable to connect AT ALL, due to this outage..

Actaully I was able to connect to 3g during the outages, though it was spotty and would sometimes drop down to 1X.  I'm happy to report that my 4g is back, I think that's why the sun rose this morning, as it too is powered by Verizon's 4g service.

I have felt this outage. Living in San Diego, got real used to 4G. Been rocking the 1X all day long. Kinda mad, but its sonethibg thats unavoidablr I guess. Hope they get it back up soon cuz I'm dying here.

So...Amazon's cloud services hiccup, Sony's Playstation network goes down, and Verizon's LTE is wacky.

Does anyone see a trend here, or is my conspiracy thinking on overdrive?

dont forget the mysterious unbanning of banned xbox live accounts.....

but yeah i was thinking the same thing. and btw yes i cant spell.

Confirmation or not, I haven't been able to connect at anything above 1x all day.  Normally, there's plenty of 3G and 4G coverage in my area.

The issue has to do with Verizon's LTE authentication servers.

I see a video commercial now from competitor showing a Verizon thunderbolt that has bolt burnt out and barely a beep on monitor for pulse. A few guys at work today were like man my HTC Thunderbolt is slow today then they all realized it was Verizon network not actual phone that had failed.
