That's why I'm very cautious on even considering MS-hardware.  There's been quite a few products where they made a big push then seemingly abandon it shortly after.

It really kills the trust on Microsoft hardware products.

I bought drm music from the now defunct  Microsoft Music store (or whatever it was called), only to have it go down when they launched the Zune Player and the Zune store.  I had to call MS to have them unlock my music after a reformat.... was not a pleasant experience... I learned my lesson about buying into MS "stores" .  Xbox Live excluded, although, I think they did do a revamp and killed off the original Xb Live site...

It does seem to be an awful waste of money. Yet, they are busy axing employees. I wonder how many they could have kept on staff if they hadn't wasted all that money on R&D for these things. Of course a big part of that cost is IN the staff. Oh well, big corporate finance is beyond me.

wow, didn't these things just came out? I just saw a Kin commercial just the other nite? And they're axing it already? Microsoft's Marketing division is just whack.
