A day after a new memo mentioning a bandwidth throttling and network optimization scheme was discovered on Verizon Wireless’ site, a spokesperson for the carrier offered a clarification when contacted by Broadband Reports.
"We’re reserving the right to actively manage the network in specific ways should that need exist – and only for customers who are under contract that includes that provision.” Verizon spokesman Jeffrey Nelson told BBR. “Because this is down the road – if at all – it's too early to tell what those triggers might be, or what throughput limitations would look like."
According to the notice the company posted yesterday, these steps will help shield a vast majority of its customers from being “negatively affected by the inordinate data consumption of just a few users.

Verizon phones are to problematic! and there customer service is awful, They are trying to be to big as a company instead of investing in the quality of there products. I understand Verizon doesn't make there phones but they are suppose to stand behind there products they sell...right? Also... I am happy with Blackberry and Sprint, I wanted to point out that the reason I switched from Android to Blackberry was because I didn't like the security flaws of it being open source (tired of the malware & rebooting) and the constant foreclosing of apps, The constant battery drainage & its long awaited updates that are associated with it. Another happy non customer of vzw.

Im glad this isnt affecting Fios Users.... I would have pitched a fit!

Since verizon that does fios is not the same company as verizon wireless, it definately wouldnt be affecting fios.
