Same issue with AT&T.  I average 1 bar inside my apartment and frequently get dropped calls or can't even talk to people because it keeps cutting out.  I take a few steps out the front door of my apartment and bam, full bars.  Meanwhile my work cell, which is through Verizon, gets great reception.  Seriously AT&T...

The company I work for has a corporate wide contract with AT&T and I haven't heard from a single employee who gets reliable service. I've worked in two sales offices now, and I can't get even a single bar from inside either sales office, yet my coworkers who have Sprint (grandfathered from before the AT&T contract) have full service. I convinced my boss to buy us a Wi-Ex range extender and put an antenna on the roof, but it is pretty spotty.

We would pay double the price of this Verizon extender for an AT&T version if it actually works. We actually paid more than this Verizon device for the Wi-Ex extender. I would especially love if AT&T and the other service providers figured out a way to utilize a hardwired internet connection and create a device similar to a wireless router but using cellular bands instead. Then, you could have cellphone signal inside of a steel cage as long as there is an internet connection on the inside!

Make sure you check the coverage map before you buy this thing. You need to be in a  Verizon Wireless Enhanced Services coverage area or it will not work. At all. It must be a licensing issue with other carriers. I live in an "extended, enhanced services coverage area and as soon as the GPS figured out where it was, it prevented it from operating.

As a Verizon subscriber, this article is of interest.

My 2 cents -> Too much money for this device, but typical of Verizon.
