U.K. Police Nab Two More Suspected Anonymous Hackers Masquerading as a 16-Year Old Girl

The last time we referred to Anonymous hackers as a bunch of attention starved "script kiddies" (the same term the Department of Homeland Security used in this PDF document), it sparked quite the debate over what to label these band of hackers. Whatever you want to label them, their shenanigans are catching up with them as law enforcement agencies continue to make more arrests.

On Thursday, British police picked up two men they believe participated in recent attacks perpetrated by Anonymous and Lulz Security (LulzSec), according to an AP Report. Both men are young adults in their early twenties.

"The arrests relate to our inquiries into a series of serious computer intrusions and online denial-of-service attacks recently suffered by a number of multi-national companies, public institutions and government and law enforcement agencies in Great Britain and the United States," said Detective Inspector Mark Raymond from the Metropolitan Police's Central e-Crime Unit.

Police say the two men both hid behind the same online identity, "Kayla," pretending to be a 16-year-old girl complete with a pink themed Twitter page. At least one computer was seized and is currently being combed through for evidence.
