Hmmm... The epitome of "bittersweet victory."

..."Apple's argument is groundless. Your device could never be confused as theirs because their's is good."

"because their's is good" is NOT what was said. What was said is "They are not as cool." Cool does not equal good. In fact, often what is cool is not actually good.

Haha agreed.

That was a good one, thank you for the laugh!

NOBODY wanted the tablets that existed prior to the iPad. Now so many "need" one and care about some huge corporation's litigation against another.

If we have to use senseless analogies about drinking Kool-Aid maybe it should go like this: Apple makes Kool-Aid that everyone wants so some other companies, bereft of marketing ideas, make their own me-too Kool-Aid with a slightly different flavor. Nobody wanted any Kool-Aid before but now you're ALL guzzling it down.

I have to roll my eyes a little anytime I hear how Apple innovated.... anything. Apple as a consumer products company excels at one thing, marketing. They take existing technologies, repackage them and then convince the masses they are uncool unless they line up, wallets out and ready to drink the cool-aid.

I know right?

It's like this hipster guy Daniel Hess. He didn't invent metal, or plastic, or the cylindrical shape. He didn't invent the motor. He didn't even invent suction! We'd been observing that in nature for ages long before 1860. He took dozens of pieces of technology that already existed (that had already been created by people much smarter than him) and he "invented" the vacuum cleaner.

And you see millions of wanna-be hipsters giving him credit to this very day! I tell you... the world we live in.

Agreed 100%.

Marketing. The only thing Apple has been any good at. That, and knowing the right time to steal, repatent and mass produce other peoples inventions.

The melon hat on that kitten must block out the Apple brainwaves that enslave the millions.

I MUST STEAL THIS PAINT IT WHITE AND SELL THIS TO PC FANS AS AN INNOVATIVE BLOCK TO APPLEITIS!

Oh wait now... Now I'm becoming that which I hate... Shoot...

I'm sorry friends, for I have failed you...

Forgive me as I would forgive you?

Happy Monday!
