Touch Screen Typist Sets a New Record

Blackberry loves to tout the virtues of a virtual keyboard, but regardless of how fast you think you might be able to thumb type on a Curve, I'm willing to bet you've got nothing on this guy. The unnamed hero featured in the video after the jump proves it's possible to reach an eye-popping 83 WPM on an iPhone, and his accuracy is remarkably high.
If you think you have what it takes to show this guy up, cruse on over to the App Store on your iPod Touch or iPhone and search for iTextSpeed. Anyone else out there ready to trade in their Palm Pre's and Blackberry's after this display?

meh, good for him i guess. i cant stand virtual keyboards. its probably the only thing ill be a dinosaur in, i need my real keyboard...

Hmm. Those look like short easy words. Like the typing tests online that make you feel better about yourself when you can hit 120 wpm typing "that is an ort short boat beat bears eat beets".
