Toshiba Joins All-in-One PC Party with Guest Onkyo
Well, well, well, look who's getting into the all-in-one (AIO) PC market. It's Toshiba, a company that's been mostly focused on notebooks, but has decided to try its hand at AIO desktops with the launch its new DX1210, a 21.5-inch AIO built around Intel's Sandy Bridge platform. Toshiba's aim is to provide the "complete entertainment experience," and towards that end you'll find a built-in DVD player and integrated TV tuner.
Unfortunately, that's where the details taper off. Toshiba offers only a brief glimpse of the overall feature-set, which includes:
- 21.5-inch Full HD screen
- Intel Core i7 and i5 processor options
- CyberLink PowerCinema preinpstalled
- HDMI-in port
- Wireless keyboard and mouse
- Six USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports
- Webcam
- Toshiba's Eco Utility and Face Recognition software
Toshiba also said it partnered with Onkyo to provide the built-in speakers, and with Toshiba's Sleep & Music service, you can jam to your favorite tunes even when the PC is turned off. You can also charge devices via USB when the system is powered down.
The DX1210 is available now from select retailers in Australia. No word on when Toshiba plans to ship this one stateside or for how much.
