Big-name sequels charting well in their first month of sales? No way. Also clown-in-your-cake surprising is Fallout 3’s staying power (the game first launched in October!), for which we use the only portion of Left 4 Dead that didn’t also claw its way into the top-20 to give a hearty thumb-up.

My recent purchases are Lotro and Warhammer AoR. Age of Conan lost is luster after a year and had to move on. Played the WoW free trial...thank goodness it was free.
I can't say I am surprised

I got left 4 dead last month on Steam. Very fun game. It's somewhat sickeningly satisfying to blow the heads off a whole horde of zombies.
Sweet

I just bought Crysis Warhead and Company of Heroes Gold Edition. Now I know what games to look out for on future purchases. After getting a new rig set up and playing my old games too much it's time for something new.

And even after 10 years, StarCraft is still on the charts. Can't say that for any single EA game (or expansion).
I'd say Starcraft is there

I'd say Starcraft is there because people probably lost their old copies somewhere and want to get up to speed on the game to get read for SC2. But it is cool to see a 10yr old game make the list.
Not very shocking
