wow thanks for pointing this out. i havent seen it before. The charities listed for my donation ended up being Child's Play and EFF.
I have donated to and signed petitions for Electronic Frontier Foundation before, but this is the first I've seen Child's Play. After some reading and research, i now have another techno-charity to support. thanks twice.

well apparently after pointing this out to a few friends, it appears as if i've been living under a rock...

How long does this last for; I understand that these THQ buys are only around for a week (hilariously Steam's store wants 60 bucks for a subset of what 7 will get you here) but for how many Tuesdays will we see new awesome content that we can obtain via supporting a cause?

The Mac

Gee, thanx whichever of you jokers killed off my Blkpanthr account.

i ask to get rid of the cloud95 guy, and they killed me in the process, and scrubbed my comments

There are going to be a whole lot of heated debates on here that suddenly make no sense..

lol

oh, well...now i look like a noob again....

Have you tried logging into your regular account? FYI, when a user is deleted, like Cloud65, all of his/her comments and any replies are obliterated. The replies wouldn't make sense without the context of the original comment.

avatar

The Mac

yes ,i have.

my account is gone, and all comments i have ever made on ANY article are gone.

Its no big deal, just the tracking history is toast obviously.

It was a super old nic i dont use anymore anyway. I use this one for other forums i post in.

Nooooo! An epic amount of nerdrage was directed at (and repaid by) blkpnthr.... now it is gone forever??? RIP, nic.

I do think your new nic will inspire a few comments on Max PC among the anti-Apple peeps, so I am sure the fun hasn't stopped. ;)

avatar

The Mac

Which is rather amsusing, since i am one of those anti-apple people

Mac is actually a real life nic, and has nothing to do with apple.

lol

Gauntylgrym

Am I seeing that right? Darksiders II for $7 or so?!

avatar

Paul_Lilly

Yep, that's correct.

I'm now the proud owner of 2 sets of games, for 2 steam accounts, that I would probably never have looked at otherwise.

I see that one even has coop, even though it doesn't seem like it's much of a coop mode (Full campaign coop, each time every time, every game IMO).

This is how the system should work: give us an incentive so that we want to donate, let everyone get something out of it, let us donate to causes we respect, and don't force it. If only we could take this progressive process and apply it to the US as a whole (ie:stop confiscatin' mah monay and giving it to causes that I really don't support).

avatar

Wait, I thought THQ doesn't exist any more, so who is the money going to?

avatar

andrewc513

THQ filed Chapter 11. Restructuring, not liquidation.

avatar

Paul_Lilly

The money likely goes towards paying off debt via bankruptcy.

avatar

vrmlbasic

Well then I'm glad I got this stuff while I still could ;)

They did a great job killing Wintel a few weeks back after a lot of us basically got on our knees, begged and kissed their feet. I'm pretty sure we're going to have to yet again get on our knees, beg, and kiss their feet to kill the cloud65 guy.
