The overclocking world caught its first glimpse of Thermaltake's Frio Extreme air cooler back in June when it was unveiled at the Computex convention in Taiwan. Why it took so long to officially launch is anyone's guess, but it's here now and ready to help overclockers push the limits of their parts with a cooling capacity of up to 250W and support for both AMD and Intel platforms.
It's a dual-tower heatsink design supplemented with two 140mm LED fans, one of which is sandwiched in between a pair of finned structures. There are six 6mm high-efficiency copper heatpipes that whisk heat away from the mirror-finished copper base and through the 0.4mm aluminum fins.
The Frio Extreme also comes with a fan controller with VR and PWM functions, which you can switch between on a whim. You can adjust fan speed from 1,200 RPM to 1,800 RPM.
We're waiting to hear back from Thermaltake on how much the Frio Extreme will cost and will it be available in the U.S.

Looks like yet another Noctua NH-D14 nod by another player in the cooler industry...
It's a damn fine cooler (the noctua) and with triple fans it's just that much better than the competition, HOWEVER it is HUGE and you need an especially large case and surrounding area on your motherboard to properly accommodate such coolers...
I'd bet the same hold true for this one...

If they change the aluminium parts to copper, the cooling capacity would increase by approx. 1.604 times (If pure copper is used) or they can make it 37.7% smaller ^.^" (asuuming the cooling rate is the same, though very unlikely.)
