While I agree that what happens in the4 street is not private, the problem with street view is if you turn the camera and zoom in you can also see what's goin on inside a building.  Again if its a public building, which most of them are, then no expectation of privacy, but individual residences are another issue.

In public you have no right to an expectation of privacy outside of your normal rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And really I can't tell who that is. I can't even make out any facial features so how is this invading anyones privacy? They are in public. They are unrecognizable and even if they were Google is not committing a crime. A perceived crime is not a crime. Just because you think it's illegal doesn't make it so.

Looks like it's just someone walking along on a busy public street with their shopping bag and dry cleaning. Is there really an expectation of privacy or is this just some random photo to spiff up the article?
