I don't see the point. I have a 500G USB 3 portable drive (passport) that will out perform this. Probably cheaper, too.

I recently migrated my laptop's HDD data and OS to a SSD by using an inexpensive SATA to USB 2.0 external enclosure I had picked up some time before and some freeware software. They go for <$20. It worked like a charm and can be reused on other migrations.
