"offering 120MB/sec write and 40MB/sec read speeds"

so, SSD writes faster than it reads? or is this a typo, since corresponding line in the paragraph below seems to be back wards

"Both the 15GB and 30GB models now sport read speeds of 120MB/sec and
write speeds of 60MB/sec, while the 60GB and 120GB boast the same read
speed but increases the write speeds to 80MB/sec"

The line if the first paragraph had it backwards.

15GB and 30GB

120MB/sec read, 60MB/sec write

60GB an 120GB

120MB/sec read, 80MB/sec write

i see, i thought writing is faster than reading sound odd, but it is SDD, so i wasn't sure.

Waiting for when they wont turn into a ROM drive after so many read/write cycles.

This is what turned me into a hardware geek. Innovation is really exciting and I can't wait to see what becomes of this technology in a few years. Yes eventually these drives will be cheaper than hdd's. This is the future. Solid state has always been the wave of the future.

Now if only more companies would get in on the SSD's and add to the competition. One day low end pc's will be equiped with lowly Raptor HDD's.
