We don't know whether to laugh (because this whole thing is ludicrous) or cry (because we're toting around an Android device), but according to a new study, iPhone owners are getting more action in between the sheets than any other group of smartphone users.
"We crossed all kinds of user behaviors with the camera models and found we had data on the number of sexual partners for 9,785 people with smartphones. We dropped what we found into Excel, and voila," dating site OkCupid explains.
According to OkCupid, male iPhone owners have had an average of 10 sexual partners by the age of 30, while women toting around Apple's smartphone have done the deed with 12.3 partners. Compare that to BlackBerry owners, where the male and female numbers check in at 8.1 and 8.8 partners, respectively. And Android users? They pull up the rear (no pun intended, folks), with male owners averaging 6 partners by age 30, and women slightly above at 6.1.

Hey that's funny, it says that Iphone users have had an average of 10 sex partners by the age of 30. Kinda funny how people have 10 fingers as well.. Must be a coincidence.

I can see the correlation. OKcupid definately has more younger people using the site than older people. And it's the older people who tend to still use Blackberry's, because either they have a professional career or they're sticking with Blackberry because they've been using the OS since the days long before the iPhone. Since the study did specify the average, the only correlation I can see is that younger kids these days are having more sex partners by the time they reach age 30. As for the Android thing, it's probably cuz more geeks are using Androids? I'm confident geeks have had fewer sexual partners than those football iPhone-sporting dudes. Atleast it's what I've seen - it appears that its the guys who are into technology-related things that are toting around Android phones.

This study is retarded. iPhone users outnumber android like 5 to 1....of course they're gonna get laid more, they're outnumbering us. On top of that, those tanned orange dudes going out and having sex with whomever says "k" all have iPhones because Apple is trendy. Realistically, Android and RIM are set aside for people who want THOSE features, iPhone is for whoever thinks "i need a trendy device to seem cooler" or people who want the features. It's a bit of a backwards study.

People who get more action prefer the iPhone than the phone having anything to do with it. Its a device about image, and you can bet that the people who shell out for it also shell out for nice clothes/cars/and other items that would boost their image. Oh, and not to mention, those people who are so image concious are probably more likely to lie about the number of parters they have had.

However more Android users have had more straight sex compared to Apple Iphone users, as apposed to homosexual sex. So Android users are more less likely to be homosexual than Iphone users are, not that I'm apposed to homosexuals, I'm just pointing out as assumed fact at least in my universe.

This counts the people who used their cellphone cameras to take their profile pic on a dating site. Who really uses their phone as their primary camera? iphone users who think their phone is god. Loser android users will use their phone, but normal people would use a real camera

Data analysis is not the media's strong point (at least MPC noted the study is ludicrous). These results could just as easily (and more properly) be used to determine that iPhone users are less capable of forming stable relationships, although I doubt there's a statistically relevant difference in those numbers.

Internet media continue to misreport this. MORE PARTNERS DOES NOT MEAN MORE SEX! Someone who has had two one-night-stands with two different people over the last year compared to someone in a monogamous relationship who has sex 5 to 6 times per week. Do the math.

Having more sex partners can be a good or bad thing. Bad-you're a whore, or can't keep a girlfriend for more than a couple of days...Good-you've got game.
From this study which tells us that iPhone users have nearly twice as much sex as android users, can we also conclude that iPhone users have 2x the STD's as android users since they have poor judgement and fail to see the need for proper protection?
I love the camera vs attractiveness study. Very interesting. Who uses their phone camera anyways? iPhone users lol. Anyone who has an android phone A)knows that the camera on their phone is shit B)probably has a DLSR anyways.
Another study that I think would be very interesting would be what type of birth control (maybe with a separate study just on condoms) among people with different phones. I bet you would see some interesting results from those "trendy" iPhone users lol.
Also, maybe a study on "sexting" among users with different phones...

But seriously though, I doubt this study means anything useful. Could we do a survey how many times PC users get sex more so than Mac users? Or would that be fair?
