Stealth's "LittlePC" Carries a Big Boy Price Tag
For the past two decades. Stealth.com has been kicking out rugged, industrial-grade PCs and peripherals. The company also specializes in mini computer systems you can hold in the palm of your hand, like the just released LPC-670 "LittlePC." The LittlePC earns its moniker by measuring a scant 6.5 (W) x 6 (D) x 2 (H) inches, though don't be fooled by its diminutive stature. Packed inside this little rig is some respectable hardware, starting with Intel's Sandy Bridge platform.
"The Steal Model: LPC-670 is the most powerful and advanced small form Little PC we have ever offered. This full featured machine utilizes the new Intel Core i7/i5/i3 mobile processor family and we believe it competes for the most processing power per square inch of any personal computer available today," stated Ed Boutilier, President and CEO of Stealth.com Inc.
A base configuration consists of an Intel Core i5 520M processor clocked at 2.4GHz, 2GB of DDR3 SO-DIMM memory, 160GB SATA hard drive, slot loading DVD burner, 10/100/1000 Ethernet, onboard 5.1 audio, and both HDMI and DVI-I ports.
Not bad for such a small form factor, but what the LittlePC lacks in size, it makes up for in price. The above setup runs $1,650, and you can add another $50 for 802.11g Wi-Fi, and that still doesn't include an OS.
