Star Wars: The Old Republic Looking for Public Testers!

You’ve waited and waited and waited, and you were prepared to wait even longer. Now, though, you can get an early hit of your next MMO addiction. Just head over to the official Star Wars: The Old Republic website, create an account, and – BOOM – you’ll… probably have to wait a bit longer, actually. But only a bit. And then maybe -- if the stars align in your favor – you’ll nab a spot in the game's testing phase.
Be quick about it, though. In case you hadn’t noticed, this game’s got everyone talking, and they’re mostly spouting one phrase: “I want to play this now.” LucasArts agrees with that assessment.
"Testing will be an ongoing process, and spots are limited, so people need to sign up early to give them the best possible chance of getting selected," wrote LucasArts.
So make like the Millennium Falcon and take a lightspeed leap over to the official sign-up page. Vominos!
Game Tester Registration

Well I followed instructions to become a game tester and was about to give up since I got bumped to the same "Basic Info" page everytime I submitted my info. Tried different things like CAPS ON, Telephone numbers without parenthesis, etc. Nothing worked unitl it finally, last time I tried, accepted my info and was sent to the scan your system page. I was able to scan the system and send the informaiton. Now await to see if I get picked.
I used CAPS ON, 2 phone numbers without dashes or parenthesis and Firefox version 3.5.3. Hope this works for all interested!

i had to say "not interested in testing" to create my account, then go back and apply after.

That same wrap around thing was happening to me as well. Then it worked, but I'm not getting a Validation e-mail.... sucks.......

I had no trouble with their signup... I'm not using it. Sorry, but no X-wing, no Star Wars. I play Galaxies for the space combat, which requires skill not button mashing ability, and I don't see TOR doing anything like that at all. Throw in the big ol' FU we pc gamers got over Force Unleashed, and I'm just not interested in this. Feel free to take my slot...

Keeps hanging on the system check for me. Why couldn't they just ask for a damned dxdiag .xml instead of relying on a Java POS that I feel odd using?

I got word of this early on in the morning, around 9 or so, and it wasn't until almost 7 pm that the site was back up. This game is the only potential threat to World of Warcraft, and about damn time, I am sick of going "this mmo sucks, WoW was way more comfortable and fun". I am anticipating this highly, and have been waiting for about a year and a half. Since TOR was mere rumors, I've been waiting.
I don't like Microsoft, I associate with it.
