Sprint Gets Official with Nexus S 4G Launch Details
All the talk in the mobile phone world is currently focused on AT&T's proposed $39 billion acquisition of T-Mobile, but hey, let's not forget about the other guys. That includes Sprint, which just went official with announcing the Nexus S 4G smartphone from Google. Built by Samsung, the Nexus S 4G comes in stock Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) trim and boasts a 1GHz Hummingbird processor.
Other specs include a 4-inch Super AMOLED display with pinch-to-zoom, a curved design, Near Field Communication (NFC) technology baked in, 802.11n Wi-Fi, both rear- and front-facing cameras, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, 16GB of internal memory, 512MB RAM, 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot capability, and a 1500 mAh Lithium-ion battery.
"We co-developed Nexus S 4G with Samsung to tightly integrate hardware and software and highlight the advancements of Gingerbread," Google said in a blog post. "Nexus S 4G takes advantage of Sprint's high-speed 4G data network. It features a 4-inch Contour Display designed to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand and along the side of your face."

The Epic has a landscape keyboard, takes video in 720P, 1 ROM, 512MB RAM.
Nexus has a brighter screen, has NFC, runs 2.3 (Epic just got 2.2), 16GB internal memory.
