Sprint 4G LTE Gets Ready to Two-Step into Texas, Atlanta Too
Everyone in the Lone Star State will tell you 'You Don't Mess with Texas,' but if you want to roll out 4G LTE service, they'll roll out the welcome mat. Sprint CEO Dan Hesse announced today at the annual Citigroup Entertainment, Media, and Telecommunications Conference that residents living in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, along with Atlanta, Georgia, will be the first major markets to receive 4G LTE and improved 3G coverage in the first half of 2012.
"Within the first half of 2012, Sprint customers should experience first-hand the wide-reaching improvements we have made in terms of boosting voice and data quality," said Bob Azzi, senior vice president – Network, Sprint. "With advanced smartphones and sophisticated wireless modems, our customers are using more and more mobile data, and one of our top priorities is to provide the best technology possible to improve our customers’ experience."
Introducing 4G LTE into these major markets is the next step in Sprint's overall network strategy dubbed "Network Vision." In time, Sprint hopes to deploy a multitude of base stations across many of its cell sites throughout the country, the wireless carrier said.

SOOO, the rest of us with "4g" phones that have been paying for a "Premium" data plan because its mandatory on all 4g able phones, we will be getting refunds rite? since they clearly sold me a 4g plan with no ability to deliver it. Therefore a material breach in the nature of my contract, being it was contracted for delivery, and they had no ability EVER to provide agreed upon services?
Yeah, meanwhile in other news, HELL has NOT frozen over, and I will NOT be getting that refund.

Why would they give you a refund. You're paying for and getting 4g services with their WiMax service. They are just adding, or possibly switching to, LTE for 4g capabilities.
