the only problem with this product (other than maybe price but that's unknown yet) is that it's Sony.

Sony has a really bad (and earned) reputation of adhering to planned obsolescence. Unless you JB the device and install your own updates, good luck getting future versions of Android for it.

Looks like it's going to be expensive though, probably $500-$600, too much for me. I just got a Toshiba Excite 10 SE a month ago for $330, perfectly happy with it (especially the micro-SD expandability that the Nexus 10 lacks)

Oh and for the record, you don't jailbreak Android devices because they're not in jail. You root them

Its worth paying over 2000$ if the quality is worth that much. And I'm certainly ready to pay 600$ if the product merits it, better that than pay less but get something that's worthless. From the looks of things i think this one is a great one. Sony is now using patents from different divisions like bravia tv and camera to build better tablets and phones. I think that there's a lot of potential in this and I'll gladly stray away from my Samsung devices that have let me down countless times if i find quality elsewhere (so long as its not still using an ancient usb2 or any weird proprietary connection).

Here's the selling point question for me... Is it usb3 compatible? I Find Sony can make amazing products when it wants to and i think they really want to this time. Sony is trying to integrate all their divisions which is something they should have done a long time ago.
