my best friend's mom makes $61/hour on the computer. She has been fired from work for 6 months but last month her pay was $21008 just working on the computer for a few hours. Go to this web site and read more NuttyRich.c0m

Never quite got the smartphone market. I am content with a regular dumb phone. After all, all you really need a phone to do is make PHONE CALLS and hold an address book, maybe snap a photo or two. But whatever. As legend has it, PT Barnum said....

It's evolution. It's only natural that computers should go mobile. The scary part is that with this next evolutionary phase we are losing our rights because many phones now are locked and have to be jail broken if you want root. And now look at Windows 8, similar thing. We are slowly losing our right to have control over our own computers. It's scary. But the whole computer in your pocket thing is great (aside from the downside I just stated), think of where it will be in 20 years, it'll be mindblowing and absolutely indispensable. I feel quite confident you won't be criticizing pocket computers or Google Glass type computers in just a few years because everyone will have them. This new switch to mobile computers is going to be almost as big of a revolution as the internet has been. Just you wait and see.

I know this is off topic, but, I find calling these pocket computer appliances a smartphones a tad marketing lingo more than anything else. First, there's nothing "smart" about them. Second, they're not phones. They're more like a pocket computer with a buit-in phone and/or camera. I'm amazed that corporations have convinced the consumer they need a $400 to $600 underpowered portable computer in their pockets. Man, love or hate Apple, HTC, Samsung or whatever company you love or hate, you have to admit that is sheer marketing genius.
As far as the demographics of OSes for these units are concerned, they will surely fluctuate for the years to come. On a sidenote I do like the fact consumers do have a choice.
Personally, I can't excited over these products. It's all about some Telco trying to convince the consumer they need this and getting your money in their pocket. Telcos don't give a damn if you get iOS, Android, Blackberry OS, etc...just give me your $$$!

Haha well said. Couldn't agree more. Saddly, it is time for me to upgrade my feature phone since the 2+ year old battery isn't holding a charge as long as it used to. I'll still pass on the smart phones tho.

If it's just the battery why not head over to Amazon for a low cost replacement? Probably around 10 bucks shipped.

True Apple has the most handsets but that is the beauty of Android and why I will never go with an Iphone. I have so many more options both hardware and software wise. They may be a little buggy but I think it is worth it. That and the way they are suing everyone just doesn't do any good. I really don't like that.

I have had a iPhone and an Android phone and what most of your forget is that there are only 5 models of the iPhone (iPhone, 3G, 3Gs, 4, 4S) compare this to the 70+ models of Android phones that there have been. So sorry Droid fans but the best selling smart phone is an iPhone, while the best selling smart phone OS is 'Droid - big difference.

Did you know that just the Samsung Galaxy S2 has sold more than the iPhone 4 and 4S?

No? Obviously.

By you may want to check what the number one selling phone is at Verizon. Here's a hint, it's not the iPhone.

I'm just guessing here, but you didn't read the article, did you? I'm making this guess as everything you are commenting about was clearly stated in the article.

Dear iFan:

The article is clearly stating OS's, not phones. But I hope you feel better after pumping up your communist iPhone.

Signed,
Free and loving it.

Come on you guys...you can use whatever phone you like...no big deal... ;)

I have a dumbphone with a slide-out keyboard. Thirty bucks a month. No Android. No iOS. No care.

+1 for not getting trounced on a phone plan. $80 a month? PASS! That's 1/4 of a house payment where I'm from. People should pay me $80 a month if they want to get a hold of me, otherwise shoot me an email.

Don't forget that Android is approaching 1 million new activations a day.
