We get it. You have many leather bound books, your apartment smells of rich mahogany, and you're friends with Merlin Olson. All that's left is to show off your golden vocal chords with Samson's new Meteor Mic. The 22k gold-plated mic comes with a braided, gold-flashed USB cable and ships in a numbered, mahogany wood case.
Is gold not your style? No problem, the Meteor Mic also comes in a chrome-plated version without all the gold trimmings. Either way, you'll find a 25mm large condenser element, all-metal body, a fold-back leg design that allows for optimal positioning for various recording applications, a 1/8-inch stereo headphone output, and volume control with a mute switch.
The Meteor Mic is a Best Buy exclusive and is available for preorder now ($100 for the chrome version, $150 to go gold). It ships on April 15, 2011.

They don't call it gold plated anymore. Now gold colored objects such as cheap coins are being called "Gold Clad". The name sounds awesomer and more valuable.
