The reason there are no 10,000rpm laptop hard drives is because they make too much noise, most major laptop companies (dell, hp) set 7,200rpm hard drives to run in low performance mode (5,400rpm) because they make to much noise. Also with SSDs becoming cheaper and cheaper and far surpassing drives like WD Raptor 150GB why would you want a 10,000rpm hard drive? I'd get 80GB G2 Intel ssd.

 Then there's the whole thing about battery life thing. Faster HDD = shorter battery life!
