Everytime I visit an electronics store, it's always the Samsung Tv's that are cleanest and brightest not to mention the best looking.  So there you go.  what more reasons do you need.

And I was under the impression that, in general, Sony products did cost more because of Sony's brand ego rather than improved materials and product engineering.

Its really not the case, if you look at their amp it is proof of that. Sony needs to imrpove oin that department because right now what they have are merely really good bang for the buck low end products.

People flock to a new product if it looks good but costs a little less but what they gain in saving they lose in quality. I rather fork out another 200$ and buy sony because they usually use the best quality of components inside. Its the same thing with cars like hyundai, its 2000$ cheaper than a toyota but they build them with the bare minimum and it ends up costing more at the end.

I love my vintage Land Cruiser, but that's engineering of yesteryears. I feel you are a bit stuck in the "last generation". The general consensus of Hyundai is quite universally more positive. Read up.

I bought one of the first Samsung 3d LED tv's and it still blows away damn near every single TV that has launched since, besides possibly the one Sony Bravia 3D line... Even, then it's still too close to call.

That's pretty impressive considering my TV is about 2 years old or so.

As stated already, the Samsungs tend to be the highest rated across the board. as for your Toyota/Hyundai comparison (with assuming that Sony is Toyota and Hyundai is Samsung), Toyota has been sputtering as of late and Hyundai has been pushing out such quality that reviewers are starting to notice. Hyundai Genesis, anyone?

I honestly don't have enough experience with samsung tv to defend my position but i have a ton of experience with hyundai and i can promise you that they are over hyped. I have 3 taxies and my two camry dont have half the problems at over 400k km that the sonata has at 130k.
