Why is the North American model getting a dual-core Snapdragon again instead of the nice quad-core?

Funny i got my phone last night from sprint and works great. I pre ordered it, but only on Monday i submitted the order. A friend pre ordered hers from sprint a month ago and yesterday they sent her an email apologizing that she would not be getting hers until next week. LOL

AT&T and Verizon are the other first rate providers, who both got theirs in stock today, but still have to have their internal engineers nerf the dropbox app and install crapware.

I think AT&T's statement is worded the way it is because Samsung had announced that pre-orders were so high it would delay the phone's arrival in the retail environment. The Sprint store told me they won't have them in until next week. I'm not sure if this is the phone I'll be getting or not, but I want to see it.

Totally unrelated, but as an old school adventure gamer myself, major props for your alias, ZakMckracken!
