I wouldn't buy an Android phone from Samsung if they were the last phone manufaturer on the earth! Their track record with updating their Android phones is abysmal. Anyone buying one of these phones is only setting themselves up for heartnreak.

Considering the fact that every 2 year contract gets you another one, and that updating is possible by rooting, I'd say that it's pretty irrelevant how often they update their phones, as long as you get one that's already running the latest version.

Now, if you're talking about customer service as a whole, that's a completely different story.
