Samsung Commercial Makes Fun of Apple Fanboys
You don't think Samsung is taking its legal battles with Apple a bit personal? Think again. Samsung didn't pull any punches in a new commercial mocking Apple users content to camp out in long lines for iDevice product launches, and in particular anyone who waited for hours to get their hands on the recently released iPhone 4S. Soundbites abound throughout the ad.
"If it looks the same, how will people know I upgraded?," an Apple users wonders out loud in the commercial (embedded below).
Samsung's ad takes on the tone of a Super Bowl commercial, snarky in its delivery and promoting the Galaxy S II with a tagline that reads, "The next big thing is already here." The company takes potshots at Apple's iPhone 4S throughout the ad, criticizing its lack of 4G connectivity (AT&T would disagree) and reported battery life issues.
On a related note, Samsung introduced a white color option for the Galaxy S II coming to T-Mobile, which will be available in the coming weeks.

thing that I love aboout this cormercial is it was all facts, they didn't go and make a huge hype on their products. Epic, "why don't you just buy a 4g phone?"

Funny video. One thing that bothers me is that my Iphone 4$ with $IRI tells me that it is the best phone and that it doesn't even consider the existance of other cell phones.
Why do I see the apple fans as being a bunch of long haired hippies? Wonder if that is the image they are trying to push. I'm bald so if anyone has any amount of hair then it's long.

Cult of Apple is annoying, but Samsung only wishes their company had any sort of following.
Any of the top smartphones will probably serve you perfectly well. They will make phone calls, they have apps, they play videos... etc. etc. etc. etc. There would be good reasons to get any one. So Apple fans don't bother me much. They normally just don't care about the same things in a product that I do.
And since I'm not in the business of selling phones, I really don't give a damn about anyone else's personal choice.
This is just as annoying as the "I'm a Mac/I'm a PC" commercials for all the same reasons.

lol.... Funny. :)
I used to have an iphone 3GS. Made the switch to an HTC Evo last year and there's no way I'll ever go back.
I have to admit though.... I'm surprised Englesstaub hasn't come on here yet flaming this one.

he probably stood in line just like the commercial to be in it or i guess he finally realized that you gotta know when to hold them and know when to fold them. i guess after countless threads of people putting him in his place and proving him wrong, he finally gave up on his losing battle. with him, its like trying to push a wet noodle uphill

Don't hurt anyone today, okay acidic? Please go see a VA counselor who may be able to help you with your issues.
Nobody wants you to "go on killing sprees," as you hinted at before, over some inconsequential posts on the internet that you simply don't agree with.

At first I thought this was an Occupy Protest or something, but it was missing the cop febreezing everyone.
Seriously though, I loved the "I could never get a Samsung, I'm creative." to be followed by... "Dude, you're a barrista."

Agreed. Best line in any commercial ever.
I'm glad someone is finally calling out the ridiculous mentality people hold with these iDevices.

That's an awesome commercia. I love the girl at the end "why don't you just get 4G?" in that whiny tone.
I'm not sure if I want to get my hands on an SGSII or wait for the Nexus, or what exactly...

Man, I just gave my Motorola Photon (moPho) to my son and picked up the SGSII from Sprint. This phone is amazing! I...ahem..cough...ahem...considered the iphone 4S for a day or two. But the SGSII was to good to pass up. You wouldn't be sorry.

I have a Nexus One, ordered 4S online for wife. I like the screen on the 4S but can't figure out what is taking apple so long to add widgets. 4S> Click on Settings, Wifi, Turn on/off wifi or in android> tap on the wifi widget.

I love it!
The inmates have taken over the asylum.
Reminds me of that video from that Best Buy dude:
- But it has a bigger screen...
I don't care.- But it has 4G LTE...
I don't care.- But you don't have to stand in line...
I don't care.- But it will freaking print money for you...
I don't care.- But it will gain sentience, become your personal servent, clean your house for you, do your homework (or work-work), level your WOW t00n to max, make you lose 150 lbs, and find the perfect girl/boyfriend for you...
I don't care.I think the Kool Aid is still flowing.

Usually I don't like negative ads but Samsung is really just repeating what people were saying on forums etc.
I've been an iPhone user for quite a while but I feel like android is finally gaining enough traction to make the switch (plus ATT coverage in my area is horrible). I'll probably be getting the Galaxy Nexus as my next phone.
