Yeah heard that before. How quickly MPC forgets all the hype they built up for vista as the greatest operating system ever in the history of time. Sorry MPC you failed me last time so i have to take it with a grain of salt.

But I bet in reality it will be another Vista-Millenium Edition stillbirth product.

Win8 will run on the LCARS interface.  I, like others however, cannot shake that creepy Vista feeling.

We all know the really cool and innovative features always get cut from
the final versions of Microsoft software.

What better way to generate advance buzz than to 'leak' something then pull it back, as if it hadn't filtered through legal and marketing on its way to some obscure blog.  That said, I sometimes wonder why, whenever one of these MS employees springs a leak, they seem all-too-eager to absentmindedly denigrate Microsoft's previous and current products in order to elevate expectations for the next product.  Do they get some kind of extra bonus severance package if they simultaneously exalt and shit upon MS in some public way on their way out?

You know, I heard all these statements about vista too, look how that turned out. I refuse to believe the machine until I get my own hands on it.

If it is really mind blowing then I would expect to see Windows 8 support quantum computing. But, if that's the case, would that mean Windows could blue screen and and not blue screen at the same time?

avatar

To0nces

Pretty obvious this is pure hype. I'll be genuinely shocked if Microsoft manages to do something "mind-blowing". At least "mind-blowing" in a good way.

avatar

quantumnerd

Well, knowing Microsoft, they likely omitted the "up" part. So when they said "mind-blowing", they meant "mind blow-uping". AKA KABEWM screen of YOU'RE DEAD.

Hmmm. "Feel free to post your comments on what you think Windows.net should be like!"

".net" clue or typo?
