Rumor: Neverwinter Nights MMO in Development
Posted 06/10/09 at 03:36:01 AM by Nathan Grayson

First there was BioWare. Then Obsidian. And now, as the next stop in what’s beginning to look like a tour of the whole Western RPG development scene, the Neverwinter Nights license may be landing at City of Heroes/Villains creator Cryptic Studios.
The rumor comes from Variety’s typically reliable Cut Scene blog, which cites a number of unnamed “sources.” Those same sources believe the game will drop off Cryptic’s increasingly productive MMO assembly line – which also includes Champions Online and Star Trek Online – in 2011. Apparently, the NWN MMO was the deciding factor in Atari’s decision to acquire Cryptic last year. Clearly, whatever form this game takes, it’s gonna be big.
Other than those unconfirmed whispers, not much else is known about the game. So, if NWN Online is real – and not just some cruel joke cooked up by whoever it is that constantly produces bogus videogame industry rumors – would you be interested in playing it?
Nah... there's already too

Technically your facts are a bit off. Cryptic isn't the developer of CoH/V thats Paragon Studios.
Basicly its like this.
A long time ago in a galexy far far aw....
Whoops wrong MMO
Anyway Cryptic/NCsoft started COH/V
Then THE ENDITRE STAFF RUNNING CoH/V span off to not NCSoft NorthCal and later to Paragon Studios.
So no one in Cryptic is tied to CoH/V except for maybe old legacy files left on their servers. And their LEad Developer of CO Jack Emerrat who got Booted from developing CoH/V when he sorta pissed of the entire player base and instagated a massive exodus.

Technically it isn't. Since the entire house that created it went indepenent. It would be like saying Disney created The Incredibles when it was as we know Pixar. Disney MAY have some resoeces on their computers from The Incredibles but that really doesn't make them the "creator" now does it?
this isn't really a case like Hellgate london which has a handful of Diabo developers in house. The entire staff, resources, and infistructure went independent.
