I can make a $20 tablet...of course it won't do much.

The Chinese have been able to make sub $100 tablets before Android tablets were mainstream.

Way to read the article before commenting. It was like the first thing Paul mentioned in it.

Yeah but as Paul pointed out those tabs suck balls. This is talking about a sub 100 dollar tab that actually works without slowing to a crawl.

I wish we could get a larger tablet.

7" and 10" can be too small for some things, but the next size up seems to be the ~20" "jumbo-tablet" running Win 8 that the Microsoft commercials feature with the little girl "painting" on them. That is much too large (and having used one @ Best Buy, the hard drive speed sucks and the resolution is horribly low).

Some of the older members of my family are interested in the convenience of a touch-driven tablet & don't need the greater functionality of a PC (and the bulk/complication of mouse & keyboard) but they're finding the current tablets much too small.

The 13" Lenovo Yoga and similar products are still too small, though they're closer, but they require paying for a keyboard that will just get in the way.

Man I really hope this thing goes into production either the Acer or the 99 dollar Nexus 7. I don't travel much so I really don't have the need for a tablet but I was thinking about getting a kindle just for bedtime reading but if one of these comes out then I'll definitely be picking one up and trying Ubuntu out on it.

FUCK GOOGLE

Make your own tablet then. I'll even buy it when it is produced, just so you can stop spamming boards with this hogwash.

Same to you.

Can you reply with more than a 2-4 word reply? Something that brings something to the table. Although I'm quite fond of the "F-Google" one you've used several times now. Hahaha

I would take them over Apple, and at this point probably even over Microsoft.

I'm not so sure that I'd take them over Apple or Microsoft. I'd definitely take my Android phone over a Microsoft Phone, however. The commercials they run with celebrities (Netwon, Stephani) intending to show how "easy" and "logical" the Win8 phone is do the exact opposite for me.
