Royal Data Throne Stores Your Crap (Like Keys and Loose Change)
Fancy yourself an artsy fartsy type? Well, we'll see your collection of Monet replicas and raise you (lower you?) The Royal Data Throne, a geeky storage container for all your crap. And by that we mean keys, loose change, pocket lint, receipts, Tic-Tacs, and whatever else you can fit in a PCB structure that measures 12 inches by 11 inches by 5 inches.
Props to [H]ardOCP for digging up this silicon potty by PCB Creations, which is a treasure if we ever saw one. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and if you're not a fan of toilet humor, you're not going to find anything appealing about a mini commode made out of bits of electronics. As for us? We're more offended by the $500 price tag. It's worth noting PCB Creations sells a number of sculptures and artwork made mainly from recycled PCBs and electronic parts, some of which are much more affordable (and some not, like this $4,500 Post Apocalyptic Data Hunter: RONIX).
If you like this sort of thing (geeky art, not toilet art), be sure to check out our "Hardware as Art: 25 Stunning Component Powered Projects" feature.

That's the new iPad. Now we know why it's called a Pad. Now that Jobs is gone, they can finally make them functional. May have to flush with your right-hand only though. Firmware issue!
