I have to chuckle when I read that a major corporation in the midst of a long term bungled 'cloud related' service outage turns right around and invests big money in..............more cloud storage. They should rename the company Austriches in Standstill. I hope the corporate world wakes up some day before the insecurity of cloud storage/computing brings down some significant backlash on all of us. Relying on someone's 'promise' that your data and infrastructure will be safe when you hand it all over to them is beyond ridiculous.

And how exactly are people supposed to use this service when the majority of users have data caps?  Just another reason America sucks donkey balls.  Japan gets unlimited 4G LTE for like 15$ a month.

Dumb move RIM! A $100 million dollar Cloud service is not going to grant success. The reason why Blackberry is having such a low retention rate is because of the quality of your handsets. All of them are made out of cheap, easy to break plastic. They need to release some Gat-Dang metal handsets. Something like that BlackBerry 9980 R4 for Porsche owners. I mean real materials, real quality, and good service. The PlayBook is the only one that feels good to hold. But why would I need a cloud storage when I have 64GB? RIM should also know that corporate users do not trust the cloud... What I want from RIM is a quality handset made out of metal and gorilla glass with an OS that performs optimal all the time. Sure, a cloud service is awesome, but it would not be the one thing that would sway customers back to blackberry. Instead, they should take that $100 million and invest on more research because the future is going to be tablets, not smartphones.

IMO, my Curve 8500 feels sturdy enough.

Yes, the Curve 8500 is a quality device. I personally liked the Blackberry Pearl. It was a quality handset. But many of the blackberry phones are recycled designs from previous generation. What Blackberry needs to do is come up with something new, something completely revolutionary if they want to compete with the other 2 devices beginning with the letter A. I would prefer if they stopped using plastic and started using metal instead. It feels of better quality if it were to be made out of metal. Right now, I feel the BlackBerry PlayBook is the best thing RIM has come out with so far. In my opinion, the phones feel and look more-or-less the same.

Well, 99.9999% population thinks that BlackBerry Playbook was the worst product RIM has ever put out on the market.  Due to its poor sales and its deadend fate, it can possibly put RIM on the verge of bankruptcy.

Well, that's not true. The reason why so many people hate the playbook is because it lacks a native email client, which this problem will be addressed in the upcoming update PlayBook 2.0! Once the update is in place, there will not be much to hate on the playbook. It will be able to run Android apps, do email, and so much more. It will be the update that will save the playbook, and RIM for sure.
