Passive cooled GPU is only for room temperature under 70 F. Or maybe 60 F. Otherwise, the GPU will last a year or two max.

How much does this card weigh? It looks so heavy, that it might rip the PCI-E slot off the Motherboard!

Hmm... I was planning on a new 7970, but two of these would probably preform about the same and be silent.

Can I get this in a low profile for a HTPC?

I am impressed. The 7850 has a TDP of 130W. Zalman can't build a CPU cooler with that capacity without literally giving you a massive block (see FX100 :p). I hope you guys get a sample unit in to test. :D

Sorry DP, cant edit. Why have the specs changed? http://www.maximumpc.com/article/news/powercolor_shows_passive_

The specs didn't change. What is said in the articles is "PowerColor didn't post any accompanying specs, though we suspect it will stick with the reference design."

So it was MPC that was speculating on the specs, and not PowerCooler releasing specs.
