No iPhone? No problem! Amazon just scored its first exclusive desktop software courtesy of DistinctDev, makers of the hit iOS game The Moron Test. You can now download the popular title to your PC or Mac, though if you don't own an iPhone to begin with, you may have already passed (Zing!). We jest, and actually, The Moron Test is also available on Android and Windows Phone 7, which still won't come as any consolation if you're rocking a feature phone.
This is the first time Amazon has secured a PC or Mac game as a digital exclusive. Amazon gets first dibs to the desktop version with a two week window before it will be made available anywhere else, with likely outlets being the developer's own website and Apple's Mac App Store.
"Amazon sets themselves apart from similar open marketplaces by supporting both PC and Mac versions of an app," explained Berkeley Malagon, President and CEO of DistinctDev. "That was a critical factor in deciding to launch The Moron Test onto PC and Mac exclusively through Amazon."
The Moron Test has generated over 4 million paid downloads and has sat in as Top 100 iOS app for over two years. Amazon's distributing the desktop version for a penny shy of $5. It sells for $0.99 in the iTunes App Store and Android Marketplace.
