Photo Awesome #16: The Max PC Reader Meet Up!
This past Tuesday, we decided to have a reader meet up at the Thirsty Bear in downtown SF. Once there, we shared stories, laughs, beer, shrimp, and a whole ton of awesome door prizes with a bunch of our valued readers.
Seriously, to those of you who made it out, we sincerely thank you for an awesome time. And those of you that didn't, well, don't fret! This turnout has encouraged all of us here at Maximum PC to do this again, and soon. We'll keep you posted on the next meet, but until then, check out some photos and video from what turned out to be a really memorable evening.
Oh, and sorry about the blurry photos. There was hardly any light in the bar, and our pop flash literally died the moment we powered on the SLR. Just our luck, right?
Enjoy!

And a video of all our prize winners.

I was there (black sweatshirt) and it was awesome! After years of reading the mag it was great to finally meet the crew. Everyone was super cool. Plus the food, drinks, and prizes... bravo MaximumPC. Definitely looking forward to the next one!

Redmond, WA! This town is full of geeks and gamers, not to mention Microsoft and Google employees. It'd be a blast! I could even make arrangements with an owner of a bar that I know :)

Another vote for Redmond! I live in Mill Creek, north of Redmond, so that would be perfect. Do it!

+1 vote for Chicago, its cold so we hibernate all winter with only our overclocked PC's to keep us warm.

I had a fun time and plan to go to the next one if I can juggle it into my schedule. I didn't notice the fishbowl when I came in otherwise I'd have put my name in for the raffel. Nevertheless I did go home with an awesome Boot! magazine t-shirt and lots of quality time talking with Jon and Gordon! I also met (in no particular order) Alex, George, Michael, and Amber (who by the way has an amazing smile). To anyone who thought about going and then chose to pass on the event, you missed out...

Well ya'll plan the next meet-up, how much notice are ya'll gonna provide. I'd like to go but I'm in Houston, TX and I do have friends in the Bay Area that I could visit while there, I just don't want to book a flight last minute.
Thanks
Keith
PS - Site design rocks.

I managed to sneak in for 20 or 30 minutes at about 8:00 and talk with Gordon even though it was winding down. :3
