PC Version of Assassin’s Creed II Slips into 2010

Assassins like Altair and Ezio love shrugging off The Law by slipping into bustling crowds, so it’s only fitting that the PC edition of Assassin’s Creed II has shoved its way into the most crowded spring gaming season in recorded history.
“Assassin’s Creed 2 PC has moved to the first quarter of 2010. A bit more time for the dev team to deliver the best quality game to you,” reads a tweet from Ubisoft.
The console versions, meanwhile, are still on track to release on November 17.
If it’s any consolation, though, Mac users can finally look forward to the long-awaited release of BioShock. Next month. See, PC faithful? Things could be a whole lot worse.
Is II any better?

All I want to know is does version II actually let you do anything? Or is it more endlessly running around an open world doing mundane missions over and over with completely generic fighting, climbing, and jumping controls?
The first one the developers clearly spent all their time and money on the open world and next to nothing on actual game play. Is this more of the same?
The reason I ask is because I saw the potential in the first one for a decent game. Unfortunately the first one didn't provide a good playing experience for me and I'm no longer dropping $ on any game these days unless it's actually decent and not just hype.

Apparently JDK spent all his time paying attention to the "mundane gameplay" and didnt pay any attention to the engaging and interesting STORY LINE
Come on.

The story line was boring as hell. Guess I just hold games to a higher standard.....as in ones that dont suck.
BTW....I said mundane missions. Accuracy in what one said is sort of a requirement when you quote someone.
Sorry if I wasn't fooled by the open world scenery and was actually looking to play a game in which I, with the controller in my hand, actually did anything of merit or complexity within the game.
What did the game consist of? Run...oh walk...ok run...no wait walk......now run again....automatically climb the wall with one button and no real user input... automatically jump....automatically fight with very little user input...now run...ok walk....keep walking....watch crappy graphic storyline cut scenes....do it all again. Game over.
Sequel to release date?

Didn't this happen to the original? Slipping the holiday season to the next year?
