The Only Nike Shoe We've Ever Wanted to Overclock
Hardcore enthusiasts take overclocking beyond the PC, and we're not talking about smartphones. Things like toaster ovens and vacuum cleaners all qualify for added geek cred, but why stop there? We stumbled upon the only shoe in the world that has us wondering what we can tweak.
It's actually an art project created by Gabriel Dishaw. Using electronic garbage, Dishaw pieced together what he calls the Nike Air Max+ 2011, which doesn't look at all comfortable to wear, but tickles our tech fancy nonetheless.
According to FreshnessMag.com, Dishaw was inspired by a 9th grade art project called "junk art." The Nike Air Max+ 2011 is the latest of 19 junk art sneakers he's produced over the years and includes a mix of parts, such as a motherboard, typewriter case, USB port, power connectors, and an oxygen mask from a 747 airplane.
