Ten years ago technology began to seep into the college academic setting. In the late 1990's, however, college academia took a giant step forward in elearning by introducing courses that could be taken entirely online. The environmental trends in elearning have changed dramatically from the infrequent use of the Internet and elearning to relying on the elearning for an entire course.I took my masters in communication this way.I got to say that I consider it to be a better option in the economic context of our days.

Let's see there's the airplane, the gas mask, the traffic signal, the dish washer, the method to refine gasoline, the pop can, the Richter scale, and many, many others. Oh, and Thomas Edison was born in Ohio as well.

However, I will give you this is made up by the state government of Ohio, and anything made by them is NEVER any good!

So what happens if they lose power? Or if they don't have a computer? Or if they have trouble connecting because it is designed by Ohio and nothing in Ohio is any good...

It sure beats adding days on at the end of the year.

That depends on cost of this versus cost of adding days on to make up for the days off like this. not to mention making sure the kids do what they're supposed to versus screwing off and such.  Instead: give them school year round, skim about $20 Million off of the pro athletes' annual paychecks to put into the schools and teachers to raise the bar, ditch the no child left behind bullcrap, reinstate an ass paddling for misbehaving.  this will put american schools back in the running.
