Nvidia's Dual-GPU GeForce GTX 590 Reportedly Shipping March 22nd
We heard back in April that Nvidia would be releasing its dual-GPU GeForce GTX 590 videocard sometime this month. We're now 10 days into March and the only modern-generation dual-GPU videocard on the market is AMD's recently released Radeon HD 6990. That won't be the case for long. According to reports, Nvidia will drop its new flagship part March 22nd, or just under two weeks from today.
That's according to news and rumor site Fudzilla, which claims to have seen the card up close and personal at CeBIT, back before the final specs had been, well, finalized. We're still waiting on official word from Nvidia on what those specs will look like, though rumors suggest it will run a pair of GF110 chips. That means it should come with 1024 CUDA cores.
The GTX 590 will go up against the aforementioned HD 6990 from AMD. You can read our performance preview of that card here, but in short, it's one fast son-of-a-gun (or two fast sons of guns, as the case may be with dual-GPU cards).

I wonder how would this cards perform in CUDA aplications like Badaboom (sucks) or other media encoders. Also who needs this kind a power I mean c'mon a 580 is more than enough for most games and future games.

You will need a 1200-1500watt psu to run two GTX590 GPUs in SLI. I would wait if you are going to invest that kind of money. LGA2011 will replace LGA1366 platform this year. The best LGA1155 motherboard I have seen as of now is single x16, dual x8 x8 and triple x8 x16 x16. Bulldozer will be released this June and will temporarily overtake Intel as the performance leader if the sources are right (new architecture, not Phenom).

I think I'll get one of this if it outperforms AMD's 6990, and I think it will.
