So, my GTX 670 is pretty "maximum" on three 1080p monitors right now...Titan, while I respect your supercomputer role, you have no role for me at home.

I might be interested in seeing Crysis 3 benches, but really, that series has lost its luster since the first. Other interesting game on the horizon is Bioshock, and its been delayed so much, I really doubt it'll need 2013-ish hardware. My 2011/2012 rig will do fine.

Do you think I would notice a performance increase upgrading from my GTX 260 to this Titan card? ;)

avatar

limitbreaker

No not at all, you won't see any performance gains going from GTX 260 to titan when playing Web games :-P

avatar

REDUXo01

LOL!

Good point, actually. What's the benefit of constantly upgrading to the next best thing if the current generation of cards already plays everything at max settings? I know more games'll come out to test these cards, but still.

BTW, I don't play browser-based games. Just very old games :)

Shhhh! Don't say that! You should encourage upgrading everytime a new card comes out. Upgrading to $1000 video cards is good.

"Upgrading to $1000 video cards is good."

Caught you!!! I knew you are a closet PC gaming fan. Now I will always use these words of yours as proof of your true opinion.:)

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

That's why I stuck it with my 2xGTX 275 for so long with money not being an issue but its finally time to upgrade. I love nIce graphics and I want them at 120fps. :-)

"Sigh" Sometimes, I miss the good old days of the ATI Rage 128 or the Voodoo 3dFX. ;) I remember saving money to buy the 3dFX card AND MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries 3dFX Edition. Those were the days. Yep. :D

I hear Maximum PC was also doing a give away for one of these as well? :D

avatar

joshnorem

That would be pretty epic but doubt it would happen :)

That is the sexiest SLI bridge I have ever seen. I have to go rethink being an AMD fan...

CaptainDoug said, "That is the sexiest SLI bridge I have ever seen. I have to go rethink being an AMD fan..."

Seriously? Seriously? It's weird, for starters, that you're a "fan" of either company. It's downright bizarre that you look at $3k worth of graphics hardware and say that you would consider changing allegiance because of the $3 connector cover that nobody is ever going to see anyway.

avatar

joshnorem

That bridge isn't available to anyone at this time, it's just for show.

avatar

CaptainDoug

That's too bad.

avatar

Arse_assin

Why bother? nvidia is shit and won't be around much longer. Without tegra they would be out of business a long time ago. lol. Nobody buys desktop cards anymore.

avatar

Warrior247

Arse_assin or booty bandit?

USraging

Don't feed the trolls. "remind myself"

avatar

LatiosXT

So AMD is going to die too given your logic. Good night sweet prince.

avatar

USraging

I want one! I dont know how it will compare to my gtx 690 but i can through it in my folding rig.

Would be interesting to see what kind of noise it makes on the other end of the scale ie. pegging it at full tilt with 3DMark. Rather than running 3 cards in SLI playing BF3 at what? 1080p? (I might have missed that detail)

With that much horsepower, the cards are spending more of their time twiddling fingers.

avatar

joshnorem

The three cards were running BF3 spanned across 3 monitors, so I don't know what res it was running but it was pretty high. We did get to hear the overclocked card run Heaven and you could hear it but I wouldn't say it was loud at all. And then you could also just lower the temp of the card to keep it quiet as well. There's always the option of just telling the card to remain silent via software control.

avatar

Number Six

Well, I have to eat my hat on this one. I didn't think a gaming card based upon GK110 would make sense for NVIDIA.

Now I have to figure out what to do with my under-performing GTX 680. :D

HVDynamo

You could always send it to me :) I am pretty sure that the GTX 680 would blow my old 4850 out of the water.

avatar

Mediziner

Well, then he/she/it would have to know your address...

avatar

HVDynamo

True, but I wouldn't provide it in open chat like this.
