Nvidia Launches Anti-Intel "Case For Innovation" Portal
It's no secret there exists a lot of bad blood between Intel and Nvidia, and in helping consumers understand exactly why the latter takes issue with the former, Nvidia has launched a website dedicated to bringing to attention Intel-related litigation and investigations.
"Called 'The Case For Innovation,' the site is a one-stop resource for those looking to get up to speed on actions being brought against Intel for impeding competition, stifling innovation, and for not living up to its agreements which were filed by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, the New York Attorney General, as well as Nvidia itself," Nvidia wrote on its blog. "The site also provides background about cases brought by the European Commission, Japan, and Korea."
Of course, Nvidia is intimately involved with anti-trust allegations against Intel, and the two continue to wrestle over chipset licensing, and specifically whether or not Nvidia is allowed to make chipsets for future Intel processors.
Decidedly anti-Intel, the site includes a ton of audio, court filings, and other information on Intel's past and present litigation, as well as some background info on the ongoing disputes between the two sides.
Visit the site here, then hit the jump and tell us what you think.

I want NVIDIA to continue on making chipsets for future Intel CPU. The reason why is that i'm a fan of both NVIDIA and Intel. I love my computers to have a Intel CPU with NVIDIA graphics. For AMD, their CPU are not as powerful as the Intel CPU.

I see where Nvdia is coming from on the chipset deal. That's pure bullshit for Intel to be able to build the only chipsets for computers. Kinda like Microsoft getting slammed for cornering the market on Browser's by offering it's browser already installed in their OS. Sure, there are some differences in that analogy, but still, it pisses me off that Intel is taking this "Apple-esque" stance about their chipsets. We used to have four or five people making chipsets for Intel based motherboards and now, we did have Intel and Nvidia. Now, all we have for Intel based chipsets is Intel. I don't like a segment of the market being dominated like that. I ends up costing you and I money in the long run when there's only one person allowed to make something.
Having said that, Nvidia has made some of the most trouble prone chipsets in the past for Intel CPU's. It got to the point where I started buying ONLY Intel chipset motherboards.
The point is though, without competition, we stifle innovation and the customers end up being told what they want in a computer. As long as there's more than two or three people making a product like Chipsets, then innovation soars and prices fall.

Keep digging that hole nvidia. Every day this company cries more and more about the rest of the industry, and does more and more to scare off their customer base. Wether or not you are an intel fan or an nvidia fan, you have to realise no other company out there is building websites for the pure purpose of trashing their competitor. Its bad form, and it seems to be common place these days for nvidia.
I held off when the ATI 5 series came out waiting to see what nvidia had to offer, but after months of watching their CEO make an ass out of himself I decided no matter how good fermi was, this company didn't deserve my hard earned money. If nvidia keeps it up they are going to find themselves in a bad spot. AMD has ati, so if nvidia pisses them off they can give them the finger if needed. Intel has ati also, because there are no licensing fees for crossfire, so if intel and ati tell nvidia to piss off, they are pretty much out of the industry.
They need to stop all of this posturing BS and actually focus on making good products.

I have to agree with georekn3mp. Nvidia needs to quit bitchin' and get back to developing products. Intel is overprice. Nvidia is overpriced. Being an Nvidia fan, I expect better than this from them. They're only hurting themselves. I guess this is that dick apple fan CEO. Everyone needs to just let go. a little competition is good for business, but this is ridiculous. I blame Apples marketing manager.

Personally I don't like Intel very much, first because they overprice their CPUs, and they manipulate the public into thinking that they're the ONLY CPU company. Think about it have you ever seen an AMD commercial on TV?And yet people don't know that they can pay half for the same performance.
I'd like to see Intel motherboards not being able to do SLI for a little while, just until they understand that they're just a CPU manufacturer, and that they desperately need Nvidia.
It would be nice for once to see AMD and nvidia hook up sometime. They're both excellent companies.

Instead of bothering to build a "usable" "on-time" and affordable GF100 / GTX480 / GTX470...they have apparently been building new trash sites and also drawing anti-MS/ Anti-AMD / Anti-Intel cartoons...

Ahhh hatred for Intel. The one thing that both nVidia and AMD/ATI have in common. You'd think an enemy of that Caliber would bring them together on a few more projects.

It is funny how they constantly fight each other when they both need each other to survive, well nvidia more than intel.
