Norton 360 Version 6.0 Enters Public Beta State
Symantec on Monday made available the public beta of version 6.0 of its all-in-one security suite Norton 360. It's currently available as a free download and is based on the same core technology found in Symantec's consumer oriented Norton Internet Security 2012, but with the addition of enhanced PC tuneup and system backup capabilities.
Citing internal testing numbers, Symantec says the new version of Norton 360 improves the impact on file copy performance by 50 percent compared to version 5.0. This is just one of several key performance metrics Symantec says Norton 360 v6.0 improves upon.
Symantec stuffed a handful of new features and usability improvements in the latest Norton 360 build, including bandwidth management, Download Insight stability ratings, Web-based management of Norton products, and Norton Identity Safe in the cloud.
Those interested can download the new build here and offer feedback in Norton's Public Beta Forum.

I stopped using Norton products several years ago for slowing things down to much. Your article tickled my curiosity and I proceeded to download and install the beta. Download and install were straight forward and easy.
upon completion and start of the program it immeadeatly killed my internet connection, uninstalled it, connection back, over and out
