What could a mouse possibly want with a 32-bit ARM processor? We're sure Jerry could concoct a few high tech contraptions designed to thwart Tom, but SteelSeries has something else in mind. The company's new Sensei is being billed as "the most customizable mouse to ever hit the competitive gaming industry," and it's mostly thanks to the ARM chip that allows for hardware-based sensitivity settings and real-time calculations that eliminate interpolation and extrapolation delays.
Sensitivity settings range from 1 to 5,700 CPI, or up to 11,400 DCPI using an overclocked "Double CPI" feature that SteelSeries claims comes in handy for multiple monitor setups. The laser sensor features 10.8 megapixel image correlation at up to 12,000 frames per second and can track movements of up to 150 inches per second.
In addition to an ARM processor, the Sensei also boasts an LCD screen of sorts that lets gamers quickly configure the mouse on a whim. The Sensei sports a non-slip grip, 8 buttons, gold-plated USB with a double-braided nylon cord, and an ambidextrous shape for both left- and right-handed gamers to gripe about get their frag on.
The Sensei will ship in September for $90.

Sounds quite cool really. Alot of gaming mice cost around the 40-$100 range anyway.
8 buttons for gaming goodness, powerful customization with an ARM CPU.

When it goes wireless with 8-12 hours battery life, I'll buy one. I hate wired mice.

Seriously? This is just... umm... a tad overkill. I'll stick with my Logitech LX7, it's good enough...
