New Research: Men Much More Likely to Follow Other Men on Twitter

According to a new study by the Harvard School of Business’ Bill Heil and Mikolaj Piskorski, men on Twitter are far more likely to follow other men over women.
According to the study, they “found that an average man is almost twice more likely to follow another man than a woman. Similarly, an average woman is 25% more likely to follow a man than a woman. Finally, an average man is 40% more likely to be followed by another man than by a woman. These results cannot be explained by different tweeting activity - both men and women tweet at the same rate.”
What’s more interesting is that there are more women on Twitter than men. “Females hold a slight majority on Twitter: we found that men comprise 45% of Twitter users, while women represent 55%.”
Though, I’d like to take this chance to say that I’m an equal opportunity follower. It doesn’t matter if you’re Will Smith or Veronica Belmont, I’ve got no problems following Twitterers of either gender. (Oh, and don’t let your gender deter you from following me!)

Twitter was fun when I used it a like a year or two back. Mainly used it to plan Xbox Live play times with people around the world. Now you've got people like Oprah and her fat ass using it and it's getting all retarded and overrated.

I have many more male friends than I do female friends and that is because we tend to marry or mate with only one person of the opposite sex and since we as men have sex and a love relationship with our women and we have only one and it's extremely dangerous to make friends with other women because it may make our mates jealos so we freely make other male friends with no limits except sexual ones of course. Yuck. But I think it's only natural that a man have more male friends than female friends unless your a player.
So it's not gay for men to follow other men on twitter. After all men, I mean us men really never grow up. Although we grow old we really never stop being boys. We play with toys just as much as our children play with toys. So us men have alot to talk about to each other that just isn't interesting to girls. Not that many girls are interested in guns or computer games but I can have a great conversation with a bunch of other guys. Gay? Not at all.

I actually like Twitter. I'm able to speak my mind to absolutely nobody on any subject I want. And check this out, I actually have followers. One day I will have enough followers to take over the world. I will knock out homelessness by outlawing it. Everyone carries a gun as law. If you as an adult are found at any time in public without a gun on your person well that will be a crime.
Come follow me. TheWhisman on Twitter. Together we shall take over the world. I will bring change and stuff like that. Like more Pizza Huts with extended hours.
