I hope that since the Android OS is so scalable to different form factors like tablets and cell phones, perhaps one can hope this spells death and doom for Google OS, the cloud OS that everyone knows will suck. A tablet with the Android OS without an Internet connection is still serviceable. You can still use it and most all it's functions. You can't say that for the Google OS. You have to be online in order to use most features of the Google OS. So I really hope all the Google based tablets that come around are loaded up with the Android OS instead of Google OS.

"As a technology enthusiast I want a one screen or maybe dual screen tablet that has at least 200 gigs of hard drive space, at least 1 - 2 gigs of ram ddr3, touch screen, graphics that at least support some moderate gaming like Left4Dead on medium graphics settings, some good HD audio through headphones which should be easy, 2-4 USB ports for all of my universal needs maybe even USB 3.0"

Come on man, what you want is already available in many models as a laptop...What you described above is not a tablet and you are completely missing the point.

...everyone else is having trouble simply copying the iPad. I tell the tablet will fail just like it has for the past 10 years. Apple simply has a niche market that the other PC makers don't. Google better go back and focus on search. They should check their stock price since Android has been out....Nothing but down and after Oracle cleans up in court, Android will not be free to the manufacturers anymore! That's what you get when all you can do as a company is copy copy copy.

That is hyper ironic rhetoric coming from someone who sounds like an Apple fanboy. Since they are literally the masters of copying and convincing the technically clueless that they invented it.

They'd be stupid not to do it. Tablets with simple apps is a really really really easy way to do a computer and a very small operating system.

People want a good tablet. And the reason why some hated the iPad is because it's not what the public wants. Especially the technogeek public who are going to want one.

As a technology enthusiast I want a one screen or maybe dual screen tablet that has at least 200 gigs of hard drive space, at least 1 - 2 gigs of ram ddr3, touch screen, graphics that at least support some moderate gaming like Left4Dead on medium graphics settings, some good HD audio through headphones which should be easy, 2-4 USB ports for all of my universal needs maybe even USB 3.0, no need for a dvd/cd drive because people have moved beyond disks now which degrade and scratch to simple data, and probably google android because like apple and windows now Apple is good but Windows is more compatible, again Apple is good but Googles' operating system is more 3rd party friendly...plus who doesn't want Google to become the new ruler of techno land...they're pretty cool...

I want this to become my main computer and my mobile computer. Everything we are just learning to do with mobile devices we can already do better on a regular desktop computer...put the two together....we're almost there to the point where cellphones and computers meet. We're not their yet though...

I consider the iPad to be the Beta Max of the tablet industry.

Come on Motorola you can do it maybe! But don't make a tablet until you can make something worth tableting on.

If Ipad is the Beta Max of tablets then I want to just skip VHS and DVD and go straight to the Blu-Ray of tablets. Will that be Windows Compact 7?
