I'll check it out eventually, I'm all for new, good "televised" content.

I'm impressed that they managed to restart Arrested Development, but IMO they got the wrong former Fox series. Seriously, Firefly is there, waiting to be continued. Shoot, it is downright _begging_ as it doesn't want to be concluded with Serenity, because Serenity was crap, and the 3rd graphic novel had some issues as well. Think about it: the only shows that could be affected by the Firefly actors going back to Firefly (which I can recall) are Castle and Suits. One of those shows doesn't really matter, and the other one is a summer show so I doubt it will. ;)

Again, a man can dream. If it can't be Firefly then how about another actually good SciFi show? The only scifi show in town AFAIK is Terra Nova, and that was also awful.

The mark of a great series is, supposedly, being canceled before its time. Now Netflix gives us hope that great series can live again.

I just don't get it. How can NetFlix do this for $8/month when all the other content producers and distributors can't, even with commericals?

I'll be checking out Lilyhammer this weekend (all 8 shows at once - awesome) and I am looking forward to House of Cards.

My wife and I watched the trailer yesterday, and it looks really interesting. I think we'll both be tuning in to catch this series!

Now, if Microsoft and/or Netflix would get off their asses and get the Netflix app/plugin for WMC to work in Canada, I'd be very happy!

I'm looking forward to all the new and original content that Netflix is creating.

Yes, I want to see the original content. Alas, my wife currently has us on the DVD only plan. Have to get her to switch that... or get netflix to allow dvd subscribers to watch original content....that might be easier actually.

DVD-only plan?! But how can you watch on your smartphone?!

You might think it's petty or superfluous to watch on a phone or any of the nigh-innumerable Netflix-enabled devices, as I once did, but once you can, it changes you.

Plus, low quality and 4:3 programs look much better on a phone's qHD screen than they do on my big screen.

I say this half-seriously ;)

My dumb pay as you go phone doesn't even have a camera, let alone the ability to play video. It's okay though, I have a PMP, which, unfortunately isn't very good at playing video either.

Can't wait till I win the lottery!

PMP? Portable Media Player? Does that acronym really exist these days? That makes me think of old devices which could only play video and only in weird formats on tiny screens. Devices which were one-upped generally by even Sony's PSP.

Apropos here is the fellow anachronism of the main character using a portable CD player in the decent-enough Netflix series Lilyhammer.

A phone without a camera in 2012 is like a day without sunshine ;)

Make me feel worse about it, why don't you? ;)
