LOL 3D is such a gimmic.  They want to sell more TV's/monitors and so they make up this stupid campaign to promote a weak technology.  I will never buy 3D and pay a crud load more for it.  Some people fall for them, but not me.

The mistake that is being made as far as 3d blu-ray buy in is all of these stupid exclusive packs they are doing. That is what is really going to hurt the industry, not piracy. If I want to buy How to Train Your Dragon in 3d, I should be able to. But since Samsung gave the studios a good chunk of change to make it an exclusive when you buy the Samsung 3d starter pack for $300 (which is no longer available, and Samsung insists it doesn't have anything to do with selling these.. yeah, right) people aren't able to purchase the movie, and 3d tech is dying a slow death.

Studios need to pull their heads out of their rear ends. If the studios would work with the consumer more, maybe we'll start seeing those sells go up. And I agree with what's been posted before, studios need to sorely work on quality, not quantaty.

So let's review, they continue to post new record multi-billion-dollar profits year after year, but still bitch and moan that it's not enough. And then they have to wonder why no one cares about pirating them?

The part that really burns me is that they have somehow gotten governments to start doing their dirty work. Why does the government need to assist a multi-billion-dollar industry in their fight against piracy? Do they not have enough money already???

Why touch their money when they can get the government to spend our tax dollars fighting piracy.

"We know that piracy is cutting into those profits, and when those profits are reduced, the studios have fewer dollars to invest in movies, and when there is less money to invest they make fewer movies and the diversity and variety of films we love become more limited."

Who cares. How about you make fewer movies and put more effort and money into some of the crap they churn out. I would trade less variety for higher quality.

Exactly raise the cost of admission, keep the quality of crap the same, and you get instant profit!

For any new movies their going to win, because of blu-ray, no one on the internet is going to download a 50GB movie. you can download a 720P copy of a movie. But if you want the nice 1080P picture and the unconpressed audio, you have to buy the Blu-ray.

MPAA SHUT UP your going to win.

Completely untrue to all of the above.
