Mozilla Stomps on Bugs, Launches Firefox 3.6 RC2
Mozilla over the weekend began doling out update notifications to beta users to update to Firefox 3.6 RC2, just one week after the first Release Candidate was released.
From what we can tell, there doesn't appear to be any new features in the latest update, nor does Mozilla tout anything groundbreaking in its release notes. Instead, it appears this is mostly a bug-fix release, the biggest of which is a fix to a JavaScript bug in the Linux build. All told, there have been some 70 bugs squashed since the last beta (not RC) build.
This will likely be the last Release Candidate before the final build of Firefox 3.6 goes public, which could come next week on January 26.

Mozilla has been moving to a faster release cycle for Firefox and, more recently, the Thunderbird e-mail software. With Firefox, Mozilla recently changed course to try to produce updates more often that add new features but don't disrupt interfaces or otherwise require users or Web developers to change their ways. http://www.artistspringboard.com/

With the latest Zero-day on IE6 unpatched for days, and Symantec taking their damn sweet time with a definition, I had to bite the bullet and start running Firefox. Seems slow compared to IE6 except for Dell's website, which freaking flies on Firefox compared to IE6.

Mozilla is very serious about being the best browser available. Being open source seemed like a negative to many people when it first came out but now, its very nice to have a accommodating internet browser. The amount of plug ins available is great plus the ease of use they have.

I am interested in the following: is ReloadEvery going to be in 3.6 by default? I am asking because I've encountered a review and downloaded it from pdf search engine http://www.pdfok.com Moreover, the actual extension is buggy as all hell (it works on some PCs, and not on others, all using Firefox 3.5.7). Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.

Ive Alwayse Used A Alternative Browser Since I Started Using The Internet. First It Was "Ye Old Netscape Navigator" Then I Switched Immediately To Firefox, Firefox Crashed Less Than IE And When It Did Crash, It Crashed In A Less Annoying Way. Hell The ONLY Reason I Use Windows Is Because Its THE Gaming OS, If IT Wasnt For The Games Id Be Using Linux.

I'm sure there was a logical reason for him using IE 6. Personally, I like FF B6, as long as things keep working I will keep updating.
